The 1850 Octagon House is not quite complete and already Jim and Sam are on to a new project, restoring an 1857 stone house to save it from demolition. Sam will take the lead on this project as Jim is old and worn out. Jim will still provide advice and encouragement when needed and maybe a little help, but this will be a test of all Sam has learned in the last four octagon years. Here we go again!
A lot has been done this summer. The brick work is now all up (pictures later). The ridgecap is bein made and installed. The stonework has been sandblasted, cleaned out, and tucked pointed. I am working on the drainage system in the basement, what a mucky mess! Pouring the floor is next. Still a lot of good working weather ahead.
